King David was a fascinating character. Good and bad, wise and foolish, a creative genius, the king who all subsequent Israelite (and indeed European) kings sort of inherit from. What would it be like to be called like David, the youngest and least important brother from the smallest clan of the smallest tribe of Israel, called in from the fields and anointed by the prophet of the Lord?
A contemplative Eucharist (aka communion). Music, prayer, contemplation, silence, communion. No matter if we are full or peace or chaotic, joyous or in despair, God can meet with us.
We eat together at 7pm and then have the spiritual bit from 8.
