The Binding of Isaac (Genesis 22:1-14) is one of the hardest of the hard texts of the Bible. God tells Abraham to sacrifice his son. What will Abraham do? What would you do? Why would God ask someone to do that? What does it mean to have faith - and would you even want to have faith like that?
It’s a passage with no easy answers, which perhaps makes it suitable for times in our lives where easy answers are hard to come by.
