The next day John again was standing with two of his disciples, and as he watched Jesus walk by, he exclaimed, ‘Look, here is the Lamb of God!’ The two disciples heard him say this, and they followed Jesus. When Jesus turned and saw them following, he said to them, ‘What are you looking for?’ They said to him, ‘Rabbi’ (which translated means Teacher), ‘where are you staying?’ He said to them, ‘Come and see.’ They came and saw where he was staying, and they remained with him that day. It was about four o’clock in the afternoon. John 1:35-38
Last week, we talked about why "consciousness" or "personal" are good ways to talk about God. So if God is the "personal ground of being", then that opens all sorts of relational possibiliites.
Given that, how about this: Is God calling you? And if so - to what?
Tuesday 11/10 at 7pm. BYO dinner and a reflective posture.
Every Tuesday evening we gather together to talk about what it means to be Jesus’ disciples in contemporary Melbourne. Sometimes that’s a Bible Study, sometimes something more thematic, and sometimes something more reflective.
We eat together at 7pm - bring your own dinner, or buy something from one of the many takeaway options on the street - and the “serious bit” begins at 8. We’re done by 9:15
